
Waves Visit LMU, Host UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego

MALIBU, Calif. — The Pepperdine women's swim and dive program is set to hit the road for the first time this season in a dual meet against PCH Cup Rival Loyola Marymount on Friday. The Waves will also host UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego on Saturday at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool.

Pepperdine is set to face off against PCH Cup Rival Loyola Marymount in a dual meet on Friday.

Saturday's competition will only have one session including all three schools, with Pepperdine's results counting separately against each UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego for two results on the day. The meet will be scored as follows: Pepperdine vs. UC Santa Barbara, Pepperdine vs. UC San Diego, and UC Santa Barbara vs. UC San Diego.

TICKETS — Admission to all Pepperdine home swim and dive meets are free. Because of limited bleacher seating, fans may choose to bring a blanket or chair to sit on the hillside. Fans can park in the Firestone Fieldhouse lot. Parking is limited, so plan to arrive early.

PCH CUP — An annual all-sport competition between two local rivals that are separated by just 19.1 miles of scenic coastline, the PCH Cup is in its 15th season of existence. Pepperdine has won 11 of the 14 years that this competition has been held.

LAST WEEK — Last week, Pepperdine dropped a dual meet at home to Illinois. Six Waves took second in their individual events, while the 200 free relay team of Alexandra Browne (Arlington, Va./Washington-Liberty HS), Layla Busquets (Diablo, Calif./Monte Vista HS), Eleanor Mashkovich (Calabasas, Calif./Westlake HS) and Anna Ryan (Alamo, Calif./Monte Vista HS) took first-place with a time of 1:36.94.

UP NEXT — After this weekend, Pepperdine will have almost two weeks off before its next competition. The Waves will compete at the La Verne Invite and the Trojan Diving Invitational with both events being held from November 17-19.
