MALIBU, Calif. — Several members of the Pepperdine men's tennis team competed well on day one of the UC Santa Barbara Fall Classic on Friday. The Waves will start day two of the UCSB Fall classic on Saturday at 9 a.m.
Tyler Davis (Redlands, Calif.) put up a fight in the Flight A singles, against host UCSB's Gianluca Brunkow, but ultimately fell and will make a run on the consolation side of the bracket.
Photos Photiades (Dali, Cyprus) fell to Cal Poly's Sean Ferguson and will also begin a run on the consolation side. As a doubles pair, Davis and Photiades defeated West Coast Conference foe LMU's
Max Wuelfing and Inigo Diaz. The pair will play on the championship side of the Flight B draw and will face Jonathan Da Silva and Wyatt Anderson of Grand Canyon University.
Matches will be streamed via PlaySight, while scores will be updated at the end of each day's matches. Up-to-date scores will be provided via the @PeppTennis X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
