CARY, N.C. — Pepperdine women's tennis graduate senior Anna Campana finished her impressive run in the ITA All-American singles championship on Tuesday.
Competing in her fifth singles match in four days, Campana (Hillsborough, Calif.) fell in three sets to #40 Ange Oby Kajuru of Oklahoma State, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-0.
Despite trailing 6-5 in the first set, Campana broke Kajuru to force a tiebreak, which she won 7-4. But Kajuru controlled the match from that point forward to win in three sets. All told, Campana went 4-1 in the ITA All-American singles championship; her run included four wins over Power-5 opponents and one ranked singles win.
