TULSA, Okla. — Pepperdine men's tennis players Edward Winter and Linus Carlsson Halldin wrapped up their stints in the ITA All-American Championship singles bracket on Tuesday morning.
Both Waves fell to nationally ranked opponents in the second round of the qualifying singles draw. Winter (Adelaide, Australia) fell to #84 Christian Lerby of Santa Clara 7-6 (7-5), 7-5. Playing in his fifth singles match in four days, Carlsson Halldin (Stockholm, Sweden) saw his singles run come to an end with a 7-5, 6-2 loss to #117 Liam Krall of SMU.
All told, Carlsson Halldin went 4-1 in singles play and 1-1 in doubles play with Winter. In his first collegiate tournament, Winter finished with a 1-1 record in singles play.
