CARY, N.C. — Winning her fourth singles match in three days, Pepperdine women's tennis graduate senior Anna Campana advanced in the qualifying singles bracket at the ITA All-American Championships, held in Cary N.C. on Monday.
Campana (Hillsborough, Calif.) faced off against Auburn senior Adeline Flach in the first round of the qualifying singles draw, and came out with a 6-3, 7-5 win. The lone Wave in the qualifying singles draw remaining, Campana has won four straight matches — all against Power-5 opponents — at the ITA All-American Championships so far.
Tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. PT, Campana will go for her second win over a ranked opponent from Oklahoma State, as she'll take on 9-seeded Oklahoma State's Ange Oby Kajuru. Earlier in the pre-qualifying draw, Campana beat #90 Kristina Novak of OSU in three sets.
