SAN DIEGO, Calif. — On the second day of the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic, Pepperdine men's tennis players George Davis and Photos Photiades earned their second-straight doubles win, plus Davis won another three-set singles match on Saturday.
Competing against Boise State's John Chin and Jip van Assendelft, Davis (London, England) and Photiades (Dali, Cyprus) started the day with a 7-5 doubles win. This is the duo's second victory in as many days playing together.
Over in singles, Davis kept his string of success going in the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic with a 6-4, 0-6 7-6 (5) three-set win over Boise State's John Chin. Elsewhere in singles play, Photiades fell 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 to Bronco freshman Liam Toroman.
Pepperdine wraps up its stint in the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic by playing matches against the hosting San Diego Toreros at 10:30 a.m. PT on Sunday. Matches will be livestreamed via TrackTennis; a link can be found on the men's tennis schedule page on pepperdinewaves.com.
