PALOS VERDES ESTATES, California – The Pepperdine women's golf team, up against an impressive field at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, is tied for 13th place after Monday's second round.
The Waves have a two-day total of 599 (297-302) at the par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club. The Waves are tied with #33 Vanderbilt and lead host Ohio State and Georgetown. Thirteen of the 16 teams are ranked in Golfstat's top 50.
PLAYER SCORES
- Freshman Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) is tied for 20th at 145 (73-72). She had three birdies during Monday's round.
- Sophomore Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) is tied for 58th at 152 (72-80).
- Graduate Megan Dennis (Bedfordshire, United Kingdom) is tied for 62nd at 153 (79-74). She posted two birdies during the second round.
- Junior Reese Guzman (Kahului, Hawai'i) is tied for 72nd at 156 (80-76). She had two birdies, which came on back-to-back holes on 6 and 7.
- Sophomore Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) is 79th at 159 (73-86).
UP NEXT
Tuesday's final round will have a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. The Waves will be paired with Vanderbilt, Ohio State and Georgetown and they'll start on holes 14-18.
