ELKHART, Ind. – The Pepperdine women's swim and dive team continued its journey at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships on Friday at the Beacon Health Aquatic Center, competing in multiple events along the way.
The Waves' 200 medley relay team was in action, while Pepperdine individuals also participated in time trials.
MEET RECAP
The main event for Pepperdine on Friday, the 200 medley relay, saw the foursome of
Emily Morton (Golden, Colo./Lakewood HS),
Jenna Sanchez (Highland, Calif./Redlands East Valley HS),
Emma Purdy (Truckee, Calif./Truckee HS) and
Alexandra Browne (Arlington, Va./Washington-Liberty HS) come in 20
th place with a time of 1:43.97, just shy of the school record, which is 1:43.94.
In the morning time trials session, Browne (23.75), Purdy (23.84) and Sanchez (24.17) all competed in the 50 free. Morton finished the 200 back with a time of 2:03.26, while
McKenzie Kelly (San Diego, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School/California Baptist) had a time of 1:54.76 in the 200 free.
NEXT UP: The third and final day of the National Invitational Championships will start Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. PT with the 100 IM prelims.
