Lauren Gomez all tied for 10th place to lead the Pepperdine women's golf team at the Gold Rush on Tuesday. The Waves finished in a tie for fourth place.
The Waves had a two-day total of 914 (304-312-298) at the par-72 Old Ranch Country Club.
PLAYER SCORES
- Sophomore Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) earned her first top-10 finish of the season as she tied for 10th place at 225 (77-75-73). Her final round included three birdies. She had a team-best eight birdies for the tournament. She was the top player in the tournament on the par-5s, playing them at 4-under.
- Freshman Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) had her team-high third top-10 result of the season as she also tied for 10th at 225 (75-77-73). Over her final eight holes today she had six pars and both of her birdies.
- Playing as an individual, graduate Megan Dennis (Bedfordshire, United Kingdom) recorded her first career top-10 with the Waves and tied for 10th at 225 (75-74-76). She had an eagle on the par-4 third hole today. She was the only player in the field to record two eagles over the two days.
- Junior Reese Guzman (Kahului, Hawai'i) tied for 23rd at 231 (76-79-76). Among the entire field she tied for the second-most pars (39).
- Freshman Milla Sagel (Bielefeld, Germany) tied for 38th at 235 (77-82-76). She had two birdies in the third round.
- Playing as an individual, freshman KaYee Kwok (Tianjin, China) was 41st at 236 (78-77-81). She had one birdie in the final round.
- Sophomore Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) tied for 47th at 240 (76-81-83). Her third round had one birdie.

Pepperdine's next tournament is the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge from March 13-15.
