MADISON, Wisconsin – The Pepperdine women's golf team had a solid final round on Tuesday at the Badger Invitational but stayed put once again on the leaderboard and finished in seventh place.
The Waves had a three-day total of 892 (298-300-294) at the par-72 University Ridge Golf Course.
Pepperdine recorded four eagles today (there were only six for the entire tournament).
PLAYER SCORES
- Sophomore Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) tied for 14th place with a 221 (74-73-74). She had an eagle on the par-5 second hole and one birdie today.
- Freshman Milla Sagel (Bielefeld, Germany) tied for 28th at 224 (79-74-71). She had an eventful day, with a pair of eagles on the par-5 second and 16th holes, as well as two birdies, en route to the first below-par round of her college career at 1-under.
- Graduate student Megan Dennis (Bedfordshire, United Kingdom) also tied for 28th at 224 (75-77-72). Her even-par round included an eagle on the par-5 second hole and two birdies.
- Freshman Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) tied for 33rd at 228 (75-76-77).
- Sophomore Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) tied for 46th at 233 (74-81-78). She had two birdies in the final round.
UP NEXT
The Waves will play their third tournament of the fall at next week's Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Colorado, which runs Monday-Wednesday (Sept. 27-29).
