MADISON, Wisconsin – The Pepperdine women's golf team is in seventh place after Sunday's first round at the Badger Invitational.
The Waves shot an opening-round 298 at the par-72 University Ridge Golf Course.
PLAYER SCORES
- Sophomore Kaleiya Romero (San Jose, Calif.) is tied for 20th place after a 74. She had birdies on holes 13 and 16.
- Sophomore Lion Higo (Gold Coast, Australia) is also tied for 20th at 74. She birdied holes 9 and 16.
- Freshman Lauren Gomez (Murrieta, Calif.) is tied for 25th after a 75. She birdied holes 2 and 4.
- Graduate student Megan Dennis (Bedfordshire, United Kingdom) is also tied for 25th after a 75. Her birdies came on holes 2 and 8.
- Freshman Milla Sagel (Bielefeld, Germany) is tied for 55th after a 79. She had one birdie today.

In Monday's second round, the Waves will be paired with Notre Dame and Colorado State and they'll start on the 10th tee beginning at 9 a.m. CT / 7 a.m. PT.
