OLYMPIC TRADITION | TOKYO 2020

Pepperdine Athletics was represented by seven individuals in the 2020 Paris Olympics. Pepperdine Athletics' all-time player/coach Olympian total stands at 60.
 
The Waves had Team USA representation in three different sports (women's soccer, women's volleyball and men's water polo) and six total sports including those representing their home countries.  

In review, the Waves had three athlete alums win a medal with Kim Hill winning gold with USA women's volleyball, Luisa Stefani winning bronze with Brazil tennis and Lynn Williams earning bronze with USA women's soccer. Two Pepperdine coaches and alumni led their respective teams to gold and bronze medals on the coaching side of the games– Marv Dunphy USA Women's Volleyball (Gold) and Brian Goorjian (bronze), Australia Men's Basketball. These results bring new totals for Pepperdine's all-time medal count: eight gold, eight silver and six bronze.
