PLAYER SCORES
- Senior Clay Feagler (Laguna Niguel, Calif./Dana Hills HS) went from seventh to first after a 7-under 65, the best round of the tournament so far and two shots better than anyone else on Friday. He's got an 11-under 133 (68-65). His round began and ended with bogeys but he had nine birdies in between, including a streak of three straight on holes 14-16. Feagler, who won the WCC title in 2018, is looking to become the Waves' first-ever two-time WCC medalist. The last player to do it twice was LMU's Brian Locke in 2006 and 2007. Feagler could also tie the Pepperdine career record with his fourth victory.
- Sophomore Dylan Menante (Carlsbad, Calif./Sage Creek HS) is one shot behind Feagler with a 10-under 134 (67-67). His second consecutive 5-under included six birdies, five of which came on the back nine. After three second-place finishes already this season, Menante is looking to break through and capture his first college title.
- Senior Joey Vrzich (El Cajon, Calif./Christian HS/Nevada) had an excellent bounce-back round and moved up to a tie for 10th with a 4-under 140 (73-67). His 5-under today included six birdies, four of them on the front nine.
- Junior Joe Highsmith (Lakewood, Wash./Bellarmine Prep) is also tied for 10th with a 4-under 140 (67-73). His second round included four birdies.
- Sophomore William Mouw (Chino, Calif./Ontario Christian HS) is tied for 16th with a 2-under 142 (67-75). He had three birdies today, which came in a four-hole span between holes 6-9.
