#28 Men's Tennis Rolls Over #48 SMU in Kansas

WICHITA, Kansas – The 28th-ranked Pepperdine men's tennis team delivered a 4-0 sweep of #48 SMU in their first contest of the weekend. It is their sixth-straight win, giving the Waves a 9-4 overall record.Â

Daniel De Jonge earned the clinch point for the Waves on court two, going 6-1, 6-1 over SMU's Tomas Vaise.

The Waves made the day short, beginning in doubles action where the two teams split on courts one and three. The pair of Daniel De Jonge and Tim Zeitvogel clinched the first team point for Pepperdine, however, in a 6-4 win on court two.

Corrado Summaria was the first to the finish line for the Waves, defeating SMU's Allen 6-1, 6-0 on court six to put the team at 2-0 early in singles. Freshman Guy Den Ouden earned a 6-3, 6-0 win on two to put Pepperdine in place to for the clinch at 3-0.
