PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Gauchos got on the board first, with a two-out solo home run in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead after one and a half innings.

The Waves answered in the bottom of the third when, after a John Peck double, Billy Cook hit a sacrifice fly to score Peck from third. After Peck's double, he advanced to third on a groundout. Pepperdine and UCSB were tied at one after three innings of play.

UC Santa Barbara got another solo shot in the top of the fourth to retake the lead at 2-1. Going to the top of the fifth inning, the Waves led 4-2.

The Gauchos got on the board again in the sixth inning after an RBI double.
