Tara Dusharm of the Pepperdine women's basketball team had a career-high 19 points in Monday's 82-59 loss to San Diego. She also led the team with six rebounds.
The Toreros (11-5, 8-3 WCC) led the Waves (4-14 1-13 WCC) the entire game.

- Senior center Tara Dusharm (Foley, Minn./Saint Louis) had a career-high 19 points, surpassing her previous career-high of 16 that she scored at Saint Louis University in 2016. She also led the Waves with six rebounds and had a block.
- Sophomore guard Cydney Rivera (Cypress, Texas/Collin College) also had a career day, scoring 16 points, matching her season high from earlier this season.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Waves and Toreros traded the first four baskets of the game before the Toreros scored six points in a row to retake the lead, which they would not relinquish for the rest of the game. Dusharm and Rivera each had four points for the Waves, as San Diego led 21-14 after ten minutes of play. In the second, the Waves kept pace with the Toreros as Dusharm scored seven points, getting two buckets and three free throws in the quarter. San Diego led 38-28 going into the halftime break.
San Diego started the second half on an 14-2 run, but the Waves ended the quarter on a 9-0 run to cut the Torero's lead to 58-43 going into the final ten minutes. The fourth quarter was much of the same, as the Toreros kept the pace.
Isabel Montoya (Española, N.M./Cibola HS) scored her first collegiate point, making a free throw with 30 seconds left in the game.

- San Diego outshot the Waves 48% to 43%.
- The Waves turned the ball over 24 times, while the Toreros gave it up just nine times.
- Pepperdine outrebounded San Diego, bringing down 34 rebounds, compared to 26.
