MALIBU, California – Balazs Kosa became the fourth player in Pepperdine men's water polo history to earn All-American honors four times, as he was named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches' second team today.
Kosa (Budapest, Hungary), a senior attacker, was named to the first team for the 2020 season and to the second team in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
He joins Alan Herrmann (1993-97), Jesse Smith (2001-05) and Marko Asic (2015-19) as Pepperdine's four-time All-Americans.
Kosa led the Waves with 47 goals, 49 assists and 96 points this past season. He led the Golden Coast Conference in both assists and points, as well as field blocks (19).
Kosa made the All-GCC first team for the third straight season, and was all-conference for the fourth time overall.
He ended his career with 232 goals, good for sixth all-time at Pepperdine.
Pepperdine ended the 2021 season ranked #10 in the country. The Waves finished 14-13 overall and tied for fifth place in the GCC.
