QUOTABLE

Pepperdine Head Coach Tim Ward said: "They're a really good team. I'm so impressed with Danesha and J.J. on what they've done. I told them before the game I'm really proud of their work because it helps our conference. That is an excellent soccer team.

"I thought the first 25-30 minutes, they were just better than us and then we made some changes. It's been a long season for a lot of girls, putting in a lot of mileage. I thought our subs and our bench did an amazing job coming in and making an impact in the game today. They got us going back in the right direction. At halftime, we were able to make some adjustments and challenge the girls as they've been doing all year. They rose to the challenge and played excellent in the second half, some great goals.

"It really came down to our energy, to be honest. Our energy at the start was poor, and I felt like Pacific outworked us in the first 20-25 minutes and then we found our way and some good things started to happen. It was fun."
