CHARLESTON, South Carolina – The Pepperdine women's tennis team continues to prove itself as one of the premier tennis programs in the entire country, sending two players to the round of 16 at the ITA All-American Championships.

Janice Tjen (Jakarta, Indonesia) and #44
Taisiya Pachkaleva (Moscow, Russia) were victorious in the opening round of the main draw. The round of 64 saw both collect ranked wins, including Pachkaleva's win over the one ranked #33 in the country – Auburn's Selin Ovunc.

Shiori Fukuda (Tokyo, Japan) had impressive showings in the qualifying round, as both defeated multiple ranked opponents to earn a spot in the main draw. Pachkaleva took down the #38 and #36 players in the country, while Fukuda made quick work of the #26, #78 and #62 collegiate tennis players, not losing a set throughout the qualifying round.
