MALIBU, California – After a one-year hiatus, Blue & Orange Madness returns this Friday night for the annual introduction of Pepperdine's men's and women's basketball teams.
The show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on Friday night (Oct. 8) in Firestone Fieldhouse.
Attendance to Blue & Orange Madness will be limited to people already on campus: students, faculty and staff, as well as parents and other individuals who have
registered for Waves Weekend.
Due to local health regulations, everyone in attendance must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. This will be true of all men's basketball home games this season as well.
In order to expedite entry to Firestone Fieldhouse for Blue & Orange Madness, Pepperdine Athletics will be pre-checking vaccination or test results at the following locations on Friday:
- 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Lower Mullins Town Square
- 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Firestone Fieldhouse Parking Lot (Blue & Orange carnival)
Fans will be issued a wristband, which must be shown upon entry to Firestone Fieldhouse on Friday evening. Rapid testing will be available if needed at the wristband distribution tents.
Proof of vaccination can be either an official Vaccination Record Card (either the physical card or a digital image of the CDC COVID-19 vaccination record card, the World Health Organization vaccine record card, California Immunization Registry vaccination record, or documentation from your healthcare provider), or a Digital Vaccination Record issued by the California Department of Public Health.
When inside Firestone Fieldhouse, masks must be worn 100% of the time for all ages 2 and above, except for when actively eating and/or drinking. A clear bag policy is in effect for this event.
