ON THE SOONERS

OU plays host to the #64 player in the country in singles, Martina Cappuro, as well as the #12 doubles tandem in Jasmine Asghar and Oleksandra Korashvili. The Waves are 3-0 against the Sooners all time with their last meeting coming in 1986 with a 9-0 Pepperdine win.
ON THE COWGIRLS
With their lone loss coming by the hands of #25 Ohio State in the opening round of the ITA Kick-Off, #16 Oklahoma State is home to two ranked doubles teams- #7 Ayumi Miyamoto and Lisa Marie Rioux and #33 Bunyawi Thamchaiwat and Dariya Detkovskaya- as well as three ranked singles players- #28 Thamchaiwat, #45 Rioux and #80 Miyamoto. Pepperdine is 2-3 overall with OSU, as the last matchup was in 1991 where the Waves escaped with a 5-4 win.
SURF REPORT
The #6 Waves saw stiff competition in last weekend's 2020 ITA National Team Indoor Championships, where they began against #5 Duke, who advanced to the tournament semifinals. Pepperdine eventually lost 4-1 to the Blue Devils, but not before a #37 Jessica Failla win on court two to give the Waves their lone point.
Pepperdine then skipped over to the consolation bracket, where they met #11 Virginia. The Waves dropped the doubles point but surged back in singles, where it was a race to the finish as Astrid Olsen delivered the clinching blow on court four against Virginia's #87 Munera. On Sunday, the wins did not go the Waves' way as they dipped to #17 Princeton 4-0 to complete their tenure in the tournament.
