MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's tennis team took two wins on Sunday in a 4-2 routing of West Coast Conference opponent San Francisco and a 7-0 dismantling of Sacramento State in a double-header hosted at Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.

RECAP
Sunday saw two wins for the Waves, beginning with a WCC matchup with USF. In doubles,
Pawel Jankowiak and
Evan Shamlian defeated the Dons 6-2 before
Tim Zeitvogel and
Enrique Luque Rico clinched the doubles point for Pepperdine going 6-3 over their USF opponents.
In singles against USF, it was Shamlian who again struck first, defeating the Dons' Garpered 6-4, 6-1 on court six, followed closely by Zeitvogel on three who took his match 7-5, 6-1 to put the Waves up 3-0. Hard-fought matches by
Pietro Fellin and
Corrado Summaria ended in the Dons' favor as USF saw a slight comeback before Luque Rico stifled the opponent's hopes with a 6-4, 7-6 (4) win on court two to clinch the match at 4-2.
Against Sacramento State, all matches were played to completion, resulting in a complete blanking of the Hornets, 7-0. In doubles, it was again Jankowiak and Shamlian who grabbed the first match 6-3 on court three before Fellin and Zeitvogel snatched the doubles point with a 6-4 victory on court one.
In singles, Zeitvogel took the first point 6-2, 6-2 over Sacramento State's Snowdon-Pool on court two, followed by Jankowiak who defeated Vizcarra 6-3, 6-1 to put the score at 3-0 in favor of the Waves.
Fellin struck next, going 6-1, 6-2 over Arnarp on three, as Shamlian defeated De La Puente 7-6, 6-0 on five.
Adrian Oetzbach, who did not play in the match against San Francisco, defeated his court one opponent Legaspi 6-1, 7-5 before
Robert Shelton completed the evening with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win over Rodriguez on court four and gave the Waves their final score of 7-0.

Pepperdine will take the next weekend off from outside competition but will return on Sunday, February 2
nd to take on UCSB at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.
