OLYMPIA FIELDS, Illinois – Three members of the Pepperdine men's golf team are in the top 10 through Saturday's second round of the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational, helping the Waves into third place with a round to go.
The Waves have a two-day total of a 7-over 567 (280-287) at the par-70 Olympia Fields Country Club. They're three shots behind Baylor and two back of Georgia Tech.
PLAYER SCORES
- Freshman William Mouw (Chino, Calif./Ontario Christian HS) climbed 18 spots on the leaderboard thanks to a 2-under 68. He's tied for third place with a 1-under 139 (71-68), and he's two shots off the lead. He had four birdies on the day.
- Sophomore Joe Highsmith (Lakewood, Wash./Bellarmine Prep) is tied for seventh with an even-par 140 (69-71). He had two birdies on Saturday.
- Senior Sahith Theegala (Chino Hills, Calif./Diamond Bar HS) is tied for ninth at 141 (68-73). He had one birdie today.
- Sophomore Derek Hitchner (Minneapolis, Minn./The Blake School) is tied for 44th at 148 (72-76). He had three birdies in the second round.
- Junior RJ Manke (Lakewood, Wash./Bellarmine Preparatory School) is also tied for 44th at 148 (73-75). He had one birdie today.

The Waves will be paired up with Baylor and Georgia Tech for Sunday's final round. They'll start on the first tee at 9 a.m. CT.
