Waves Run Well at UCR Invitational

RIVERSIDE, California – Sophomore Kyle McCabe moved up to 10th place on the Pepperdine men's cross country all-time 8K performance list, leading the Waves at the UC Riverside Invitational on Saturday morning.
McCabe finished in 26th out of 203 runners overall, in a time of 24:58.8. He was previously 13th on the all-time list. The cross country men finished in 10th place overall.
On the women's side, freshman Skyler Danley was once again the leader for the Waves, placing 66th out of 162 runners. Her time of 22:19.8 put her on the Waves all-time 6K list at 12th.
Senior Cori Persinger, who finished second for the Waves, also stamped her name into the Waves all-time 6K list at 16th with a time of 22:32.4. The cross country women finished in 14th place overall.
Both the men's and women's teams were missing some of their top runners, who are recovering from injuries.

The Waves' third of four regular-season meets will take place in two weeks at the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento on September 28.
