MALIBU, Calif. – The #6 Pepperdine women's tennis team dominated their match against Fairfield int eh First Round of the NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament on Friday afternoon, sweeping the Stags, 4-0.

MATCH RECAP
The Waves were dominant from the outset, giving up only a single game in the doubles competition. Milovanovic and Lekaj finished first, blanking their opponents 6-0. On court one, Failla and Iamachkine won their match just seconds before Takamura and Kuczer would have won. The Waves took a 1-0 lead after clinching the doubles point.
In singles, the Waves kept rolling, taking every single first set and giving up only two games total across the board. Milovanovic was the first Wave to secure a singles point, defeating Aina March on court three 6-1, 6-1. Failla followed on court two, defeating Diana Prinos 6-0, 6-2. Takamura did not give up a single game to Sophia Prinos, winning 6-0, 6-0 to clinch the match for the Waves and propel them into the Second Round. Iamachkine and Kuczer were both leading 6-0, 5-1 when the match was clinched, and Lekaj was up 6-1, 5-0 on court one.
