NAPA, California – Hira Naveed posted the Pepperdine women's golf team's best round of the tournament, a 1-under 71, as the Waves finished up play at the Silverado Showdown on Tuesday.
The Waves finished in 12th place with a three-day total of 909 (295-309-305) at the par-72 Silverado Resort North Course. #27 Pepperdine was one of 11 teams in the field ranked in Golfstat's top 50.
PLAYER SCORES
- Senior Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) moved up 15 spots and into a tie for 11th place at 221 (73-77-71). She had all four of her birdies over the final seven holes today. Naveed had 10 birdies total, one off the tournament high. It was her 21st career top-20 finish, moving her into Pepperdine's all-time top 10.
- Senior Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) tied for 49th at 229 (72-76-81). She had one birdie on Tuesday.
- Junior Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) tied for 53rd at 230 (75-77-78). She had one birdie.
- Freshman Kathrine Chan (Richmond, B.C., Canada) tied for 74th at 236 (75-82-79) She had three birdies during her final round.
- Senior Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) was 86th at 239 (83-79-77). She had two birdies.
