CLAREMONT, Calif. – The Pepperdine men's tennis team concluded the 2018-2019 season in the West Coast Conference Tournament with a 4-2 loss to Loyola Marymount on Thursday afternoon.
 
The Waves finish the season at 11-13, going 5-4 in regular-season WCC play, and marks last time to don a Pepperdine uniform for seniors 
Matias Sborowitz and 
Scotland Garapedian. The record is an improvement from a 7-16, 3-6 WCC finish last season.

RECAP
The 6th-seeded Waves dropped the doubles point to the Lions after courts two and three split wins. 
Enrique Luque Rico and 
Corrado Summaria defeated LMU's Prost and Moreno 6-4 to set up court one for the doubles finale. 
Adrian Oetzbach and 
Tim Zeitvogel sent their match against Borchenko and Moenter into a tie-breaker but eventually lost 7-6 (6-1).
 
In singles, Summaria finished first on court two, taking a struggle-free 6-4, 6-1 victory from Borchenko to even the overall score to 1-1. Zeitvogel took court five next, going 6-1 in both sets to put the Waves up 2-1, but LMU came back fighting on courts one, three and four to seal the 4-2 loss for Pepperdine.
