Pepperdine finished third in the WCC standings at 7-2 and posted a regular-season record of 11-6-2. The Waves are one of three conference teams to make the NCAA Tournament and their first-round match is Friday (Nov. 15) at Texas Tech.
Anderson (San Jose, Calif./Harker School) is now three-for-three earning All-WCC honors after making the second team as a freshman and sophomore. She leads the Waves with six goals and 16 points.
Watson (Ocean Beach, Calif./Point Loma HS) and Nelson (Houston, Texas/The Kinkaid School) have created an excellent partnership as Pepperdine's central defenders and helped the Waves to the second-best goals-against average in the conference (1.12) and the second-most shutouts (10). The two also made their mark offensively with Watson notching three goals and an assist, and Nelson scoring twice. Watson was the only sophomore on the All-WCC first team. It's Nelson's second straight year earning All-WCC second team status. She was also the WCC Freshman of the Year last season.
Gilfoy (Brentwood, Calif./Liberty HS) is third on the squad with 11 points thanks to her four goals and three assists. She also stepped in as an emergency goalkeeper in a shutout victory at San Diego.
Ehmann (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Xavier College Prep) took over as the starting goalkeeper five games into the season. She's posted a 9-5-1 record and leads the WCC in shutouts per game (0.47). She's also second in goals-against average (1.24).
