WAVEPOINTS
• For the second Saturday in a row, the Pepperdine men's basketball team will be looking to win the West Coast Conference Game of the Week on the road, and this time it'll be against PCH Cup rival Loyola Marymount.
• Though it's just the third weekend of WCC play, the Waves and Lions will conclude their regular-season series here. Pepperdine won 77-62 in Malibu in the WCC opener.
• The Waves are looking to end a three-game losing streak at Gersten Pavilion.
• Colbey Ross, who scored 24 points on Thursday at BYU, is fifth in the WCC in scoring (19.3) and first in assists (7.1). Nationally, he's seventh in assists and leads the nation in free throws made (127).
• Ross has scored in double-figures in each of the first 19 games of the season. The last player to do this in the first 20 games was Glen McGowan in 2004-05.
• Kameron Edwards has scored 23 and 22 points in the last two games.
• The Waves lead the WCC and are 18th nationally in turnover margin (+4.3). Only once in 19 games has Pepperdine committed more turnovers than the opponent.
• The Waves also lead the WCC in three-pointers made per game (8.9). The Waves haven't finished in the top three in the conference in this category in a decade.
• Lorenzo Romar has helped elevate the Waves as he begins his second stint as head coach. He recorded his milestone 400th career victory last Saturday at San Diego.
• The Waves matched their 2017-18 win total of six in their 10th game, and surpassed it with their seventh win in the 14th game.
• Pepperdine gets next Thursday off, so the Waves' next contest is a home game against Saint Mary's a week from Saturday.

WAVECASTS — Saturday's game can be listened to online with WaveCasts at PepperdineWaves.com. Veteran play-by-play man Al Epstein, a 2015 Pepperdine Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, will be behind the microphone (now in his 34th season, this will be his 1,023rd consecutive broadcast for the Waves).
WATCH — Saturday at LMU is the WCC Game of the Week and it will be shown on Spectrum SportsNet and NBC Sports Bay Area. Everywhere else, it will be shown on TheW.tv. Steve Quis, Ryan Hollins and Kirsten Watson are the announcers.
PEPPERDINE — Pepperdine boasts a one-of-a-kind athletic department with unprecedented success for a school of its size. The Waves have won NCAA Division I championships in five different men's sports — one of just 18 schools to have accomplished this feat — and nine overall. Of this elite group, Pepperdine has the smallest undergraduate enrollment, is the only school without football and is the only university that has not been affiliated with a "major" conference. The Waves have won a total of 25 team or individual national championships in their history. Pepperdine has also earned the Division I-AAA All-Sports Trophy, an award based on postseason success that's given to the top non-football school, three times (most recently in 2011-12). The Waves have produced 205 conference championships, 318 All-Americans and 53 Olympians. Located in scenic Malibu, California, the university overlooks the Pacific Ocean and its campus and athletic facilities are regularly voted among the nation's most beautiful. Pepperdine, which is affiliated with the Church of Christ, ranks #46 overall on U.S. News and World Report's list of America's best colleges.
