June 21, 2018 MALIBU, California â€" Sahith Theegala of the Pepperdine men's golf team collected his second All-American award of the offseason, as the Golf Coaches Association of America and PING gave him honorable mention status on Thursday.
Last week, Theegala (Chino Hills, Calif./Diamond Bar HS) was named to the Golfweek All-American third team following his junior season.

He won the 2018 Waves Challenge by a Pepperdine-record 16 shots, one of six top-10 and nine top-20 finishes, both of which tied for team bests. Theegala was on the Ben Hogan and Fred Haskins awards watch lists. He was named to the USA's Arnold Palmer Cup team, which will play in France in July.
Through three seasons, Theegala's career scoring average of 70.95 is the best in program history. He's also second on the records list for below-par rounds with 57.
Pepperdine won the WCC title for the 19th time in program history in 2018 and finished with a #25 national ranking by Golfweek/Sagarin.
