MALIBU, Calif. " Four singles and one doubles pair from the No. 11 Pepperdine women's tennis team earned a spot in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships to be played following the NCAA Team Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C., from May 17-28, as announced the NCAA on Wednesday afternoon.
Ashley Lahey, Mayar Sherif, Luisa Stefani and Evgeniya Levashova will compete in the singles tournament, while Sherif and Stefani will pair up for the doubles championships.
This will be the third-consecutive appearance in the tournament for 24th-ranked Stefani and the second-straight appearance for both 18th-ranked Lahey and 22nd-ranked Sherif. As a freshman, it will be Levashova's first berth into the tournament. It will also be 11th-ranked Sherif's and Stefani's first appearance as a duo in the doubles tournament, although both have competed in the tournament with other partners.
The tournament will directly follow the team championship, with both running from May 11-28. The Waves will host the opening two rounds of the team tournament on May 11 and 12 in Malibu, while Wake Forest will host all remaining duals and singles and doubles matches.
Sophomore Lahey has posted a 20-4 overall record this season, with a 10-2 dual record including an 8-3 output against ranked opponents. She has gone 4-0 in the top-position and 6-2 in the No. 2 position for the Waves and has ranked as high as No. 3 nationally in the Oracle/ITA singles rankings.
Senior Sherif has amassed a 28-5 overall record with a 17-1 dual record and a 7-3 record against ranked competition. She has gone undefeated at 10-0 from the No. 3 position and 7-1 from the No. 2-slot. This season, Sherif has ranked as high as No. 10 nationally.
Junior Stefani has marked a 13-2 overall record and an 11-2 dual record including a 5-1 output against ranked opposition. All of her dual appearances have been in the top-spot and she has ranked as high as No. 24 this season and No. 2 in her career.
Freshman Levashova has produced a 22-2 overall record this season, including a team-best 19-1 dual record and a 2-1 output against ranked opponents. Although primarily playing in the No. 4 position for a perfect 7-0 record, she has also charted wins at No. 2 (1-0), No. 3 (8-1), No. 5 (1-0) and No. 6 (2-0) this season for the Waves. Her season-high ranking stands at No. 48 currently.
Sherif and Stefani have been a solid presence in the Waves' doubles lineup as well, amassing a 13-3 overall record and a 13-2 dual record for the team this season. The duo has gone 3-3 against ranked opponent and all their dual matches have been played in the No. 1 position. The pair currently ranks 11th, but has ranked as high as eighth this season.

Pepperdine will continue postseason action with the NCAA Team Championships beginning on May 11 in Malibu, before ending the season with the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships following the team tournament.
