Second-Round Results

NAPA, California " Momoka Kobori fired a 1-under 71 to lead the Pepperdine women's golf team during Monday's second round of the Silverado Showdown.

The Waves are in 12th place with a two-day total of 601 (301-300) at the par-72 Silverado Resort. Eight of the 11 teams ahead of the Waves are ranked in Golfstat's top 25. The #50 Waves are currently ahead of three top-40 teams.

PLAYER SCORES

• Junior Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) has the best standing among the Waves, as she's tied for 11th with a 1-over 145 (70-75). Her second round featured four birdies, including each of the last two holes.
• Sophomore Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) was near flawless on the day, recording her only bogey on her very first hole, then getting two birdies and 15 pars the rest of the way. She moved up to a tie for 30th place at 149 (78-71).
• Senior Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is tied for 53rd at 152 (75-77).
• Junior Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) and senior Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) are both tied for 72nd at 156. Wijaya is 79-77 and Haythorne is 78-78.

UP NEXT

The third and final round is Tuesday. The Waves will be paired with Oregon and Washington State in an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
