SANTEE, California " Clay Feagler and the Pepperdine men's golf team turned in two of the most dominant performances in West Coast Conference Championships history as both the Waves' sophomore and the team captured huge victories on Wednesday.

Pepperdine won its conference-leading 19th WCC title with a tournament-record score of 26-under, leading to a margin of victory of 25 shots. Feagler shot 9-under today and 14-under for the tournament to win by eight strokes.

The Waves began the day with a nine-stroke lead at the par-72 Carlton Oaks Golf Club and never let up, firing a 13-under 275 to finish 25 strokes ahead of Saint Mary's and 28 ahead of BYU and Santa Clara.

The Waves' previous best 54-hole score at the WCC Championships was 18-under. The previous WCC record was 25-under set two years ago by Saint Mary's. Pepperdine's 13-under tied the school's WCC Championships record for a single round. The 25-shot margin was Pepperdine's fourth-biggest at the WCC Championships.

The 26-under ranks fifth all-time at Pepperdine, and the 13-under ties for sixth on the all-time 18-hole team score.

After coming in second the last two years, Pepperdine won its first WCC title since 2015.
