Second-Round Results

KANE'OHE, O'ahu " The Pepperdine women's golf team is in eighth place after Tuesday's first two rounds of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, while Momoka Kobori stands in fourth place individually.

The Waves have a two-round total of 628 (317-311) at the par-72 Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course. The average score for the entire field was 80.88 during the first day.

PLAYER SCORES

• Sophomore Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) had the best day for the Waves, but it unfortunately didn't count toward the team score because she's playing as an individual. Kobori is in fourth place at 148 (77-71). Her 1-under 71 in the afternoon was the best score by any player in the second round and included three birdies.
• Junior Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) is tied for 20th place at 154 (78-76).
• Senior Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) is tied for 29th place at 157 (80-77).
• Junior Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) is also tied for 29th place at 157 (78-79).
• Junior Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) is tied for 46th place at 162 (83-79).
• Senior Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is in 53rd at 164 (81-83).

UP NEXT

The third and final round begins at 8 a.m. HT / 11 a.m. PT on Wednesday with a shotgun start. The Waves will be paired with Rutgers and Washington State.
