Second-Round Results

SAN LUIS OBISPO, California " A rainy day made the first two rounds of play at the Bruin Wave Invitational difficult for all 16 teams, and the Pepperdine women's golf team stands in eighth place after Monday.

The average score at the par-72 San Luis Obispo Country Club over Monday's first and second rounds was 79.26. The Waves shot a total of 627 (311-316). Five of the seven teams ahead of Pepperdine are ranked in the top 20 by Golfstat.

PLAYER SCORES

• Junior Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) is tied for 10th place at 152 (74-78). She had two birdies on Monday.
• Senior Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia), who is playing as an individual, is also tied for 10th place at 152 (76-76). She also had two birdies.
• Sophomore Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) and senior Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) are both tied for 39th at 158. Kobori shot 78-80 with three birdies and Zhu was at 77-81.
• Junior Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) is tied for 45th at 159 (82-77). She had a team-high four birdies on the day.
• Junior Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) is tied for 78th at 168 (82-86).

UP NEXT

The third and final round will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday with much better weather in the forecast.
