
Three Waves Named to All-Conference Teams

MALIBU, Calif. – Chris Dilworth, Mate Toth and Balazs Kosa were both given Golden Coast Conference postseason honors the conference office announced on Tuesday. Dilworth was named to the First Team All-GCC and Kosa was named to both the All-Freshman team and the Second Team.
Dilworth (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks HS) was one of the biggest parts of the Waves this year, on both sides of the ball. The senior led the team in goals scored with 50, which was also good for fifth in the conference. He also led the team in exclusions drawn, with 40.
Kosa (Budapest, Hungary/Csik Ferenc Általános Iskola És Gimnázium) was one of the most dynamic freshmen in the GCC this year. The newcomer from Hungary was just behind Dilworth in goals with 49, which was sixth best in the conference and led the team in points with 73, thanks to 24 assists.
Toth (Balatonalmadi, Hungary/Szilagyi Erzsebet Boarding School) backed up a strong sophomore season last year by becoming a team leader as a junior. He was third on the team in points with 53 (42 goals, 11 assists), and first in steals with 33. This is the third year in a row in which Toth has earned postseason honors. As a freshman, he was named to the All-GCC Second Team as well as the All-Freshman team and as a sophomore, was an All-GCC Honorable Mention.
The Waves will continue their season this weekend at the GCC Championships. The tournament was originally to be held at Pepperdine, but due to the impact of the Woolsey Fire, will now be held at Long Beach State.
