Pepperdine Home Events Through Thanksgiving to Be Rescheduled

MALIBU, California – With Pepperdine University announcing the closure of campus through the Thanksgiving holiday due to the impact of the Woolsey Fire on the Malibu area, the following home athletic events will be relocated or rescheduled:

The Malibu campus is scheduled to reopen on Monday, November 26. That night, the Pepperdine men's basketball team is playing Idaho State in Firestone Fieldhouse and that game is currently slated to be held as scheduled. The men's basketball team will be heading out on Monday on a week-long road trip that takes them to Northern Colorado and the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase, and all that will take place as planned.

- The women's volleyball team has three regular-season matches left, all of which were planned to be home matches: Gonzaga on Thursday, Nov. 15, Portland on Saturday, Nov. 17, and San Diego on Tuesday, Nov. 20. TUESDAY 6 p.m. UPDATE: These three matches will be played on the same dates at UCLA's Wooden Center (Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 11 a.m. and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. In addition, the Waves match against Loyola Marymount originally scheduled for November 10, will now be played on November 18 at 1 p.m. in the Gersten Pavillion at LMU.
- The men's water polo team was scheduled to host the Golden Coast Conference Championships from Friday through Sunday (Nov. 16-18). An announcement from the GCC will be forthcoming. SUNDAY 7 p.m. UPDATE: The GCC has announced that the tournament will now be held at Long Beach State.
- The women's basketball team had a home game planned for Friday (Nov. 16) against UC Irvine. That game will be rescheduled.
- TUESDAY 1:30 p.m. UPDATE: The men's basketball team's previously postponed home game against CSUN has been rescheduled for Monday, December 3, at 7 p.m. in Firestone Fieldhouse.
