SAMMAMISH, Washington – The Pepperdine women's golf team is off to a good start at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, sitting in third place after Tuesday's first two rounds, while
Momoka Kobori is tied for fifth place.
The Waves shot a total of 589 (295-294) at the par-72 Sahalee Country Club. At 570, host Washington may be out of reach, but second-place Oregon State is close at 585.
PLAYER SCORES
- Junior Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) is tied for fifth place with an even-par 144 (70-74). She had three birdies and just one bogey during her 2-under morning round, then added three more birdies in the afternoon.
- Senior Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) is tied for 14th place at 148 (72-76). She had one birdie, one bogey and 16 pars during her even-par first round.
- Senior Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) is also tied for 14th place at 148 (76-72). She had two birdies in each round.
- Senior Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) is tied for 22nd place at 150 (77-73). She had two birdies in the afternoon.
- Freshman Kathrine Chan (Richmond, B.C./Canada) is tied for 32nd place at 152 (77-75). She had one birdie in each round.
UP NEXT
The third and final round begins at 9 a.m. for Pepperdine on Wednesday. The Waves will be paired with Washington and Oregon State and they'll start on the first tee.
