CARROLLTON, Texas – Darkness set in before teams could finish the second round of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate on Monday, with the Pepperdine men's golf team sitting in sixth place with four holes remaining.

The Waves were in a tie for sixth place after the conclusion of Monday's first round at the par-70 Maridoe Golf Club after shooting a 293. They are still in sixth and are currently 3-over through 14 holes.

All second-round scores are unofficial, however, until the round is complete and scorecards have been verified.

MORE PLAYER SCORES

Junior Clay Feagler (Laguna Niguel, Calif./Dana Hills HS) is tied for seventh place at 1-over. He had an even-par 70 in the first round. He was 3-over with five holes to play but his first three birdies came in succession to get him back to par. He's posted three more birdies in the second round.
Freshman Joe Highsmith (Lakewood, Wash./Bellarmine Prep) is tied for 15th at +3. He had two birdies in the first round and currently has three in the second.
Senior Roy Cootes (Rolling Hills, Calif./Palos Verdes HS) is tied for 30th at +6. After a 77 in the first round, he's currently 1-under in the second with three birdies.
Junior Joshua McCarthy (Danville, Calif./De La Salle HS) is tied for 34th at +7. He had a 74 with two birdies in the morning, and he's posted three more in round two.
Sophomore RJ Manke (Lakewood, Wash./Bellarmine Prep) is tied for 56th at +12. He had an 80 in the first round and has had a total of three birdies on the day.

UP NEXT

The second round will resume at 6:30 a.m. PT / 8:30 a.m. CT on Tuesday with the third and final round to follow immediately after.
