Waves Send One Single, One Doubles Pair to ITA Regional Final

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Pepperdine women's tennis team will send Jessica Failla as a single and #26 Ashley Lahey and Evgeniya Levashova in doubles to the ITA Southwest Regional Championships final on Monday at Barnes Tennis Center after a pair of semifinal wins on Sunday afternoon.

Pepperdine is going for the team's fourth-straight regional singles title and third-consecutive doubles title in tomorrow's finals matches.

SF: Jessica Failla (PEPP) def. #3 (newcomer/freshman) Elysia Bolton (UCLA) – 7-6 (7), 6-2

Doubles
SF: #26 Ashley Lahey/Evgeniya Levashova (PEPP) def. #29 Elysia Bolton/Jada Hart (UCLA) – 7-6, 6-4

ITA SOUTHWEST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS: THE PERKS
The ITA regional finalists earn a bid into the Oracle ITA Fall National Championships, to be played in Surprise, Ariz. from November 7-11. Failla as a singles competitor and Levashova and Lahey will all earn bids into the Fall National Championships for reaching the final tomorrow.

NEXT UP
The Waves will continue with the ITA Southwest Regional Championships through Monday. Pepperdine then will close out the fall tournament season at the ITA Fall Championships from November 7-11.
