PALO ALTO, California – The Pepperdine women's golf team improved by five strokes from round one to round two at the Stanford Intercollegiate, but that wasn't enough to stop the Waves from dropping a spot into a tie for fourth place on Saturday.
The Waves are playing well against an impressive field and have a two-day total of a 3-over 571 (288-283) at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course. Their round of 1-under today was the best score among the morning wave, though a couple of the teams playing in the afternoon leapfrogged the Waves. Only four teams were below-par on Saturday.
