Women's Golf Through Two Rounds at Golfweek

Second-Round Results Get Acrobat Reader

WOLCOTT, Colorado " The Pepperdine women's golf team will be looking for a big finish on Wednesday as the Waves are seeking their fifth title in nine years at the Golfweek Conference Challenge.

The Waves dropped from a tie for second into fourth place after Tuesday's second round at the par-72 Red Sky Golf Club. They have a two-day total of 590 (290-300) and are seven shots back of Denver, three behind Arizona and one away from San Diego State.

The Waves won the inaugural event in 2009 and posted three straight victories from 2012-14.

  • Junior Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) is still the Waves' individual leader, as she's tied for third place overall with an even-par 144 (70-74). She closed her round with two birdies on the final four holes.
  • Sophomore Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) matched Naveed for the Waves' best round of the day. She's tied for 11th place at 146 (72-74). She also had a good finish, getting all three of her birdies on the final six holes.
  • Senior Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) is tied for 28th at 149 (72-77). She had three early birdies.
  • Junior Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) is tied for 39th at 151 (76-75). Her three birdies came on the front nine.
  • Senior Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is tied for 58th at 154 (77-77).
