MALIBU, Calif. -- Mayar Sherif, Jessica Failla and Laura Gulbe of the Pepperdine women's tennis squad advanced through the opening round of the Oracle/ITA Masters, hosted by Pepperdine University and the Malibu Racquet Club at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon. The Waves will continue singles action on Friday, while Sherif will also continue on with mixed doubles action.
