April 10, 2017 Second-Round Results 
NAPA, California " Momoka Kobori and Tatiana Wijaya each fired 2-under 70s to help the Pepperdine women's golf team improve four spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for seventh place after Monday's second round of the Silverado Showdown.
The Waves bettered their score by 14 shots over Sunday's first round and now have a two-day total of 588 (301-287). They were 1-under on the day, one of just six schools to post a team score in the red on Monday. The final round is on Tuesday, where the Waves will be paired with West Coast Conference foe San Francisco (also tied for seventh) and Oregon.
Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) moved up to a tie for 16th place after her round. The Pepperdine junior is at an even-par 144 (74-70). She had four birdies on the day. She was even through 11, then posted back-to-back birdies before finishing with five consecutive pars.
Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) climbed up to a tie for 22nd with a 1-over 145 (75-70). The freshman began her round with two birdies. After a par, she had three consecutive bogeys, followed by three straight birdies. But then, after her up-and-down-and-up front nine, Kobori then had nine straight pars in the second half of her round.
Additionally, sophomore Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) is tied for 34th at 148 (75-73), junior Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is tied for 54th at 151 (77-74) and sophomore Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) is tied for 75th at 156 (80-76). Zhu had four birdies on the day and Wong had two.
