Second-Round Results

FAIRFAX, California " Both the Pepperdine women's golf team and sophomore Hira Naveed are tied for sixth place after Monday's first two rounds of the Meadow Club Intercollegiate.

The Waves shot a total of 599 (298-301) at the par-72 Meadow Club and are tied with tournament co-host San Jose State. The third and final round is Tuesday.

Naveed (Perth, Australia) was in second place after an opening-round 2-under 70 and is now tied for sixth at 146 (70-76). She had six birdies on the day, including four in her first round. She'll be trying for her second top-10 finish and fourth top-20 result of the season tomorrow.

Junior Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is tied for 28th at 151 (75-76), freshman Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) is tied for 35th at 152 (79-73), junior Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) is tied for 42nd at 153 (77-76) and sophomore Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) is also tied for 42nd at 153 (76-77). Wong and Zhu both had five birdies over the two rounds.
