LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The Pepperdine women's basketball team fell in the first round of the West Coast Conference Tournament, ending the season with a 73-55 loss to Pacific. Yasmine Robinson-Bacote put up her 11th double-double of the year, but it wasn't enough to advance Pepperdine in the tournament.

The Waves and Tigers had split the season series coming into the game and Pepperdine had beaten Pacific in the same WCC first-round game last season. The Waves end the year at 7-23, while Pacific (10-20) goes on to face top-seeded Gonzaga tomorrow.

Robinson-Bacote finished the game with 18 points and 13 rebounds, leading all players in both categories. Her 11 double-doubles this year are tied for the sixth-best single-season total in program history and are the most of any Wave since 1997.

In a back-and-forth first half, an 11-2 Pacific run made it a 31-24 game just a few minutes before the break. The Waves came back with two baskets to make it a three-point game, but Pacific answered with two field goals of their own and would take a 35-30 lead into the locker room.

Robinson-Bacote had 10 points and eight rebounds to lead all players in both categories for the first two quarters. The Waves outshot Pacific 38%-34% early, but nine first-half turnovers hurt Pepperdine.

The Waves held Pacific scoreless for nearly four minutes in the third quarter to come back and tie the game, but the Tigers hit a three to take a 48-45 lead into the final period. A trio of early threes in the fourth quarter made it a 10-point Pacific lead. The lead would swell to 19 points as Pepperdine couldn't find a run in the fourth period.

Allie Green, playing in her final game as a Wave, also scored in double-digits, putting up 13 points. Keyari Sleezer had 10 points for Pepperdine.

Four Pacific players scored in double-figures and the Tigers hit 10-of-28 threes in the game. The Waves were just 2-for-14 from long range on Thursday.

The Waves graduate just one senior, Green, from this year's squad and bring back 12 underclassmen, including three players who redshirted this season. Next year's team will also have just one senior, in Kim Jacobs. Pepperdine was the only school to put two players on this year's WCC All-Freshman team, with Megan House and Barbara Sitanggan earning the honor. Robinson-Bacote was also named to the All-WCC first team.
