Second-Round Results

SANTA ANA, California -- Patricia Wong is in the top 10 and the Pepperdine women's golf team is in fourth place following Monday's first two rounds of the UC Irvine Invitational.

The Waves have a two-round total of 591 (300-291) at the par-72 Santa Ana Country Club. They are six shots out of second place.

PLAYER SCORES

• Junior Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) is tied for 10th place with a 2-over 146 (74-72). She had a total of three birdies on the day, two in her even-par afternoon round.

• Sophomore Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand), playing as an individual, is tied for 18th at 148 (75-73). She had three birdies in round one and four on the day.

• Junior Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) had the Waves' best round of the day, a 3-under 69, in the afternoon. She's tied for 22nd at 149 (80-69). She had one birdie in the first round and six in the second.

• Senior Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is tied for 30th at 151 (75-76). She had three birdies.

• Senior Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) is tied for 37th at 152 (78-74). Three of her four birdies came in the second round.

• Freshman Kayle Hunn (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Saddleback Valley Christian School), playing as an individual, is tied for 69th at 169 (84-85).

• Junior Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) had a 1-over 73 with four birdies in her first round, putting her into a tie for 11th place, but she was unfortunately disqualified in her second round.

The third and final round begins at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday for the Waves.
