Round 2 Results

WOLCOTT, Colorado " Three members of the Pepperdine women's golf team are in the top 11 after Tuesday's second round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge and the Waves remain in second place as a team.

With just Wednesday's final round to go at the par-72 Red Sky Golf Club, the Waves have a two-day total of a 4-over 580 (291-289). San Diego State has a 13-stroke lead.

Pepperdine has won this tournament four times in the seven years it has been contested. The event features one team from 18 different Division I conferences.

Junior Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) is tied for second place with a 3-under 141 (71-70), junior Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) is tied for fourth place with a 2-under 142 (68-74) and sophomore Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) is in 11th place with an even-par 144 (73-71).

It's the first time in Zhu's career that she's posted back-to-back below-par rounds. Her 2-under 70 today included six birdies. Wijaya had three birdies today, while Naveed's 1-under 71 featured four birdies.

Sophomore Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawai'i/IMG Academy) is tied for 47th place at 153 (79-74) and freshman Momoka Kobori (Rangiora, New Zealand) is tied for 87th at 166 (87-79). Haythorne had four birdies.
