FAIRFAX, Calif. " Marissa Chow tied for eighth place at the rain-shortened Bay Area Intercollegiate on Tuesday, highlighting the Pepperdine women's golf team's participation in the event.

Bad weather forced Monday to go from 36 to 18 holes, and play wrapped up with the final round at the par-72 Meadow Club today. Pepperdine finished in 11th place with a score of 603 (307-296).

Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS), a senior two-time All-American, picked up her 16th career top-10 and 23rd career top-20 finishes (both of which rank eighth all-time at Pepperdine). She posted three birdies in her final four holes on Tuesday to climb the leaderboard at end with a 2-over 146 (73-73).

Sophomore Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.) tied for 32nd at 152 (77-75), sophomore Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) tied for 39th at 153 (77-76), freshman Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) tied for 45th at 154 (80-74) and freshman Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) tied for 52nd at 156 (82-74). Naveed had an eagle on the par-5 first hole.

Pepperdine next plays at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii on March 22-23.
