Final Results

PALOS VERDES, Calif. " Marissa Chow turned in the 22nd top-20 finish of her career to lead the Pepperdine women's golf team as the Waves wrapped up the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Tuesday.

The two-time All-American, who is now tied for eighth all-time at Pepperdine in top-20 results, tied for 17th place with a three-day score of a 6-over 219 (77-69-73). Chow (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani HS) had two birdies during her final round and a team-best total of seven for the tournament.

Pepperdine finished in 12th place as a team, ending with a score of 915 (309-299-307) at the par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club. The tournament featured Golfstat's top three teams in the country and 11 top 25 teams. Fourteen of the 16 were ranked in the top 50. Pepperdine finished ahead of #23 Michigan State, #45 Wake Forest and #69 Baylor.

Also in the lineup, freshman Hira Naveed (Perth, Australia) tied for 45th place at 230 (76-74-80), freshman Hannah Haythorne (Honolulu, Hawaii/IMG Academy) tied for 56th at 233 (77-78-78), freshman Patricia Wong (Walnut, Calif./Walnut HS) was 60th at 234 (79-78-77) and sophomore Tatiana Wijaya (Jakarta, Indonesia) tied for 80th at 243 (84-80-79).

Haythorne and Wong each had two birdies on the day.

Sophomore Katherine Zhu (Vancouver, B.C.), playing as an individual, tied for 38th place at 227 (75-77-75).

The Waves will next be in action at their own Bruin Wave Invitational, set for February 29 and March 1 at the San Luis Obispo (Calif.) Country Club.
